Okay, First, I am a network person, and new to sql. I have learned much with mangos, thx to all the dev's.
Below is my configuration for my servers. The problem that I am having is that I have a 1.12.x server, and a tbc 2.0.10 server on same ip address. My Firewall does not support loopback, So I edited the hosts file to point to my 1.12.x server from my public ip... Everything works great on 1.12x....here is my issue, and what I have done:
In order to host Two realms with different versions, on my TBC server, I have the realm.conf port to 3725, instead of default and world server port is 8087. I have forwarded that port to the TBC server, and made appropriate adjustments on the sql side to reflect this. I can now connect to tbc server from outside the network by going setting realmlist to mentaljesus.com:3725. Account creation became an issue, so I created a no-ip, and did port forwarding with port 82 just for sign up purposes for tbc only, and used wamp/apache and set listening ports on 82...Ok, no problem there, people can now create a tbc account...
I have tried and tried everything that I know of to play within the network, but to no avail: I changed hosts file to point to my tbc server, I have added a private address line in sql realmlist file (which I know works for 1.12.x), but no go there. The closest that I have come is getting the realm loop from within the network, and as far as I know, you cannot add ports on your host file.... I have tried setting realmlist.wtf to everything under the sun, from the server name, port name...you name it, I have tried it.
With all this said ( I explained as best I could), what else should I try? Is there a way similar to my configuration to get this working. The only thing that I have not tried is to add my no-ip address in the realmlist in sql, and forward 80 requests to 3725...I am out of ideas and needing someone who really knows this to help me out.
Thanks for your time
