WoW has a lot of waiting and just runing around from what i remember.
FFXI on the other hand is slow as hell, 1 month for 10 levels or something like that

ff xi was cool, but seemed to take ages to get anywhere.. if you have a lot of free time id say try it out if not pass.. as for wow, it looks great, but i have never played it so i cant comment..
