"Among other greats like Ludamage, Mr. Nonsense, and Synesthesiæ FIlms, Distapez is one of today’s greatest online compilers of phresh new jams. Using Youtube as their medium, a couple of young guys out of the Eastern European nation of Georgia continuously trawl the web for the latest and the greatest synthwave, vaporwave, witch house, and other tunes. They find the cream of the crop and upload a high bit rate cut of the track to Youtube, accompanied by some dreamy curated photo and their memorable text logo on center stage. For having only been at it for a couple of months, Distapez (a portmanteau of “disco” and “tapez”) has already covered Com Truise, Friendzone, Lapti, and other favorites of ours.
