Let me start, my first 3d printing project was meant to help me learn how to print, while doing something fun.
The printer i used at that time was an Ender 2 - using both PLA and TPU.
What did i built? a small working
it allowed me to learn a lot about how to print, how to split my models into different, manageable parts to print at once, since Ender 2 is by no means a large printer nor a fast one- i think in the end that one project meant more that 100 hours of printing and around 2kg of material.
In the end i had to replace it with a printer that does not need that much tinkering just to make it work, since it would make me brick at least one sd card once a week, and at rubber mat for printing once a month.
Now i use Anycubic Kobra 2 Pro and it is quite a big step forward, i would recommend this one anytime as a budget starting printer. No big project done with this one yet, other than a few flowers planters, an external HDD case out of tpu and some spare parts for plastic tools that broke.
