First signature attempt

I'm not so sure about the font of the text, if anyone knows a font that would look good with this then feel free to suggest it.

Rate/slate - constructive criticism is fine.

Bare in mind this is my first go at a PS.

It's decent for the first time. You should look into some tutorials.
It lacks depth and the render does not blend with the BG.
And about the text... well don't use a font like that.
And there is no light source.

Just go to google and type: Signature tutorial photoshop.
You will find alot of tutorials. You could try to do some smudge tutorials etc.

I don't wan to rush into things - I want to take it gradually so I can get the grasp of what is going on etc.

ik was just saying, theres no major improvement you can do without the tutorials. i suggest DA or PSDtuts for learning.

I recommend you join a graphic forum, too.

They play a big role in helping you get better really fast.
