Fixed.
If you guys have a problem where your server files are connecting but get a "Failed to Connect to Server" error at the character selection when you try to connect in-game, try downloading the latest hexed clients. The latest eAthena SVN (Packet Server 9) ARE NOT compatible with old hexed client releases, so if you're using the latest eAthena SVN Stable Release (Cygwin - MySQL 5.0.45) you should use the Year 2008 Xray/Hexed Clients. I don't know if it's the same for trunk users since I don't use it, but you can try, should work either way.
Here's a link, just scroll down till you see where the hexed/xray client links are. Note that it says Packetserver 9 beside the links.
