TD, just doing some catching up on your files and i was wondering if you can help so far i am upto adding these FLD_SHOWX, data type: int, lenght: 4, allow nul:false, default value:0 but
when i remove the tick out of allow null and then go to save it i get this error on all 3 edits to that table.

'TBL_MERCHANT' table
- Unable to modify table.
ODBC error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'FLD_SHOWX', table 'LOM2.dbo.Tmp_TBL_MERCHANT'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The statement has been terminated.

so i spose the question is, allow nulls is that ticked or unticked for it to be allow nulls =False
any ideas gratefully recieved

Your likely to get this error if you haven't entered a default value.

elvin
when u added this column, and after unticking the allow nulls, did you go down to the columns tab and set the default value as 0, i have got this working,(both on co-ord and flag) but im not at that pc atm, will be tomorrow night if you cant get it sorted by then.

also would be nice (TD) if perhaps could have FLD_SHOWLVL

not important, but could be a nice feature?

How abt try delete that row and redo again?
Mine is set to int, 4, null=false, default=0
No prob.
