For a while, I played some games that featured a codex system—I always found it interesting—and I was experimenting with creating something similar for Flyff.

It involved tasks like killing monsters and turning in quest items to permanently gain stats.

What do you think?

I added a counter to see how many codex entries there are and how many have already been completed.

I think you don't really need the kill quests for the Codex since FlyFF already has systems like Monster Hunt / Monster Album that can handle monster-kill progression.

You could focus the Codex more on an **Item Codex / Collection System**, something like mine in the screenshot.

Players register or submit specific items to complete each collection and unlock permanent stat bonuses. You can still include monster-related progression by using their **quest drops/items** as collection requirements, similar to the quest items shown in your screenshots.

That way, the Monster Hunt/Album handles the kills, while the Codex has its own purpose centered around collecting and registering items.
