Friends arent into Computers and stuff :( and now iam getting kinda depressed.

Recently meh friends have been calling me a nerd but hell i dont have a problem with that but although i play a ton of sports including sports for my school, i enjoy the computer alot...maybe even more then some sports...i have noone to really talk bou tthat kinda stuff and iam getting kinda pissed off lately anyone have any solutions? I havent posted here for a while OOOHHHH and also while i was walkin home after fishing with some friends a lil white kitty followed me home and my mum wouldnt let me keep it, it was really skinny too o well anway just post ur ideas here.....


my mum doesnt understand she says that iam waistin my time on the computer she doesnt understand that i like the computer i think i have a future in it....o well i ll just sit here talkin to some friends.....talkin bout it makes me feel a bit better i dont no why i feel bad bout this in the first place....maybe iam a geek or a nerd...hehe cool!

I guess it just depends on what a person means by a social life, or how long you have to hang out w/ppl for it to be social.

TBH, spending an average of 8+ hours a day working or going to school tires a girl out, you can't expect anyone to be all ready to go after a long day of work (anyone that works will know this to be true).

Luckily I don't let that be a crutch, and try to limit my time online by doing it at work. It doesn't help when there's a good game to play online, but really, who cares what people think of what you do for fun? I like parties like anyone else, and hanging out is a regular thing for me (kind of hard not to with all the people that are usually over).

But do what you want who cares.. especially since you said your 13.. use this time to your advantage

Just because u like/use the pc playing games and things doesn't make u a nerd. I just c the computer as another piece of technology, nothing special. I try 2 balance things out like go 2 college/ work during day, go out or sumthing in afternoon than pc at night ( if i want 2, getting less recently).
tbh as Youth said nerd =richer ppl so it's got it's advantages

other than i sit infront of a computer all day every day (for the rest of my life) i dont really concider myself a nerd or geek.... For one sitting infront of my putter is kind of my job..... and another is.... Well i would rather talk to my friends on my PC than sitting infront of a TV being bored sensless at the constant stream of crap. Yeah i spend WAY above the average time on the PC.... But i also go out every chance i get! If i had a choice of going to the cinema or playing putter..... cinema! party or putter? PARTY! Alchol or putter..... (both if im feeling sad n pathetic )

Anyway the only thing that can make you a geek is talking about computers constantly to everyone else / chooseing computers over social things.

Computers are a part of life now, like it or not. Anyone that makes fun of someone that spends too much time on it should in turn be told that it's the norm now. Yeah, that may not be a good thing, but it's how it is now. Just like when the television came out, people said (and still do really) the same damn thing.

Think of how the world will be in twenty years. When your kids go to school they wont have teachers, computers will teach them. When its recess (or something) your kids wont play on merry go rounds, they are going to play something like unreal tournament or counter-strike. merry go rounds will be obsolete. when your kids come home and they want to watch a movie, they will be able to pay for an online ticket and watch it on their pc.

computers are the future, and those stuck in the past wont survive in it.
