If you are using a PreConfigured VM (most likely this one https://forum.ragezone.com/f1046/genshin-3-2-vm-1209814/), you access it via WinSCP or similar program. you will find a WinSCP preconfigured for connection in that linked VM in the first post, but you may need to adjust the settings if you are using TieLay or some other VM build.

If you are using a Docker setup you just replace the files directly.

Can anyone guide me through how to change the Abyss? I haven't had the mod installed for 2 weeks yet but I assume once it resets, the line-up of enemies and Leyline buffs will stay the same?

I pretty much understand how to change the dates but I was wondering if it would be able to have Abyss reset every 2 days and have about 2 or 3 versions of Abyss it rotates between. Is something like this possible?

provided its not a client sync required change that abyss be a certain length you can try adjusting and reducing all the dates in TowerScheduleData.txt

everything modified and the values adjusted are pretty well documented in supplied changes.txt if you need to make changes for personal things

but does key generation really matter that much... I mean they are kind of useless to Gorkn's solo mod in the grand scheme of things due to this additional change

Hangouts no longer cost 2 Story Keys, Cost 1 Mora instead. Client-side still requires player to have 2 Story Keys in their inventory before you can unlock (doesn't consume them).

and character story quest for the most part are spaced by adventure rank/other quest's required for completion or just employing a very tiny amount of self restraint if you don't want to do them all right away...

Followed instructions in Install.txt and have MySQL and dbeaver up and running, but I am very skill issue and don't understand how to make it read t_gacha_schedule_config.ibd (says Table db_hk4e_config.t_gacha_schedule_config doesn't exist)
Do I need to go about importing the file from file explorer into dbeaver somehow? Or create a database using the folder 'db_hk4e_config' in data/mysql ? I have never used MySQL before and trying to Google it does not bring very many helpful results

you don't setup/access the db files like that...
make sure your server is running then establish a mysql db connection in DBeaver.
as long as you did not change anything the connection info for PMT's docker should be

Server Host: 127.0.0.1 Port: 3306
Username: root
Password: Ys@2022!!!

It seems like we need client side modding for it to work. Changing the load for items on server side doesn't change anything on client.

TowerScheduleData.txt controls the Spiral Abyss spawns. You can try messing around with that file to change the boss to what you want.

You can jsut use the WinSCP download thats included in the links in the thread for the VM

You connect to the server and you simply copy and replace the files from the mod with the ones on the server and do a restart of the vm.
thats the easiest way to do it.
