มาตรฐาน ELASTIC 8+ คือ การใช้วัตถุดิบโพลิเมอร์ที่มีความยืดหยุ่นสูงในการผลิตแผ่นรองเมาส์
นับตั้งแต่อดีตถึงปัจจุบัน การผลิตแผ่นรองเมาส์ รวมถึง แผ่นเช็ดเท้า แผ่นโยคะ
นิยมใช้พื้นหลังเป็นยางโพลิเมอร์ เพื่อให้ตัวแผ่นไม่เคลื่อนที่ขณะใช้งาน
แต่สิ่งที่แตกต่างกันโดยสิ้นเชิง ที่เป็นส่วนสำคัญที่ทำให้ ราคา แตกต่างกันมาก
นั่นก็คือ ค่า "ELASTIC" ซึ่งมีผลอย่างยิ่งในการยึดเกาะ ความยืดหยุ่น และความละเอียดของผิวสัมผัส
โดยแผ่นเช็ดเท้าทั่วไป มีค่า ELASTIC 1+ เท่านั้น ในขณะที่ แผ่นรองเมาส์โดยทั่วไปใช้ที่ระดับ 4-6+

ด้วยนวัตกรรมการผลิตโพลิเมอร์ให้มีค่า ELASTIC สูงนั้น ทำให้เราสามารถที่จะผลิตแผ่นรองเมาส์ที่บางลงแต่คุณภาพสูงขึ้นได้
แลกกับระยะเวลาการผลิตที่นานขึ้นและค่าใช้จ่ายที่สูงขึ้น
ยกตัวอย่างให้เห็นภาพเช่น ฟองน้ำสำหรับอาบน้ำที่เป็นรูพรุน และ ฟองน้ำสำหรับล้างจานที่เนื้อแน่นและละเอียดมากกว่า
นอกจากนี้ผิวที่ละเอียดเมื่อยึดเกาะกับ Polyester เพื่อนำเข้ากระบวนการพิมพ์ ลวดลายภาพและสีจะละเอียดมากขึ้น
นี่คือสาเหตุที่ทาง GIFFINDEX ภายใต้เครือบริษัท NTP Marketing group โรงงานผู้ผลิตแผ่นรองเมาส์ และผู้ผลิตพลาสติก inmould label แห่งแรกในประเทศไทย นับตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ.1998
ได้ยกระดับการผลิตให้สูงขึ้นด้วยการใช้ยางวัตถุดิบที่มีค่า ELASTIC 8+ ซึ่งเป็นมาตรฐานสูงสุดของโลกในปัจจุบัน
ทางบริษัทได้มีการตรึงราคาการผลิตไม่ขึ้นราคาไปจนถึงสิ้นเดือนกันยายนนี้ และจะมีการแจ้งปรับราคาขึ้นในเดือนตุลาคมนี้เป็นต้นไป
และจากสถานการณ์วิกฤตโลกในปัจจุบันแบรนด์ไอทีชั้นนำจากต่างประเทศได้เข้ามาสั่งผลิตที่ประเทศไทยเป็นจำนวนมาก
ทางบริษัทจึงได้มีการปรับวัตถุดิบ เพื่อลดการปล่อยคาร์บอน Co2 ให้สอดคล้องกับมาตรฐาน iso : 14067 เพื่อเป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม
อาทิเช่นการปรับซองพลาสติกชนิด OPP เป็นพลาสติกชนิด PE แทน
