A couple of movies that I've seen lately which are pretty awesome is Taken and The Professional, both action movies, I'm not sure what you're into but for me these were excellent movies. I really enjoyed the latest Rambo aswell, it's not like all the other ones where he takes on all the armies but it's just a really realistic movie which they were trying to go for. Other then the three I mentioned I would suggest some old classics like Super Troopers which is a police comedy movie -- funny as hell imo.

Good movies can be many things and it depends entirely on what you prefer and your current mood.

I agree with Crank. It's one of the best action movies I've seen.
