just watched ep1 was freaking awesome,yet its my first time to watch a gundam series,do you guys recommend me to watch the older gundam series?

I recommend you to watch the old series as Gundam was my 1st anime and the old series to me is way better.

yeah looking at eureka 7, just did little research that same studio animated code geass >.< (wow im slow) and yeah looking for the gundam see series (don't really want to watch the first because of the quality)

I seen gundam 00 it just started out so I don't know how it will be but it seams to be a story kind of like the old ones. Well there is only 2 episodes so can't judge it yet ^^
As for the old series I didn't like all of them. Gundam wing was good. Gundam seed was nice as well but gundam seed destiny was just a repeat of the first one basically but if you liked the st one watch the second one.
As for code geass and Eureka 7 they are good animes as well I liked them quite a bit except that I don't know if there is an end to Code geass yet.

I use to watch this ages ago and really enjoyed it, the old series I mean. But for no apparent reason I stopped watching the show. I tried to download the old Gundam series as I wanted to start watching it again, but couldn't seem to find a English DUB.

Gundam wing was amazing (one with hiro in right) used to watch it on toonami then toonami got westernized and taken other by complete and utter shite. wish had the old toonami back with the cowboy bebop, gundam wing, dragon ball, tenchu z (i think it was called that) these damn channels are too scared of pissing off western parents. only decent anime channel on sky is anime central (199) and that only starts at 9pm.

I'm downloading both Ep 1 and 2 at the moment. I'll tell you how they are latter.

If ya'll don't know I am a major Gundam fan. I've seen all but Turn A Gundam and the last few episodes of ZZ Gundam. Which I did have but lost due to an accidental format of the wrong drive. -.-

Anyways, for all of you saying Gundam Wing was amazing then you haven't watched any other Gundam series or OVA. Gundam Wing is by far the worst one. They half assed tried to copy the events of MS Gundam, MS Zeta Gundam, and MS Gundam Char's Counterattack.

I'm not saying Gundam Wing was horrible. Hell it was the first series I watched, but it is by far no means awesome once you have seen the proper stuff.

The original series from 1979 is just plain out brilliant. Sure it doesn't look that good but for it's time it looked amazing. Hell that goes for all of the Gundam series especially the OVAs. You can't find a more well drawn anime then them.

As for the best story. Zeta Gundam wins by far followed closely by V Gundam. Both of them have a serious and dark atmosphere to them with amazing character development and plot. They are probably two of the best anime series of all times and should be checked into.

Anyways they just finished downloading so times to skim though them.

From the preview they seem to be an updated version of Wing to be honest so it has me wondering.
