hi,
i get a critical error, everytime i try to connect to the server.
i can type in my account data and i am then able to choose the server and my character
but when it is about to load the l2 world with my char i get this error message:

2008.12.22 13:47:52
OS : Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU : AuthenticAMD Unknown processor @ 2719 MHz with 2046MB RAM
Video : NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT (6921)
PosCode : LS1:-76375:243217:-3722 2/1

General protection fault!

History: UNetworkHandler::Tick <- Function Name=UIPacket <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop

does somebody know how to solve this?

but when i am logging in with my other char on the server, everything is back to normal...

weird thing

Re: cant load character in game (critical error)

do you have any custom items on your server? Do you had it on that character and then you deleted that items from db or someting like that?

Re: cant load character in game (critical error)

i do not have any custom items, but i have an modified system folder

you do not connect to our server via hots, you do connect via l2.ini, mabye thats the problem.

i will check that one out, please verify my suggestion, if its true

Re: cant load character in game (critical error)

your character is stucked in textures and needs to be moved manually ingame by a GM (//recall_offline <charname>) or by admin in the database.

Re: cant load character in game (critical error)

that sounds logically,
why does something like that happen?
because of bad geodata?

Re: cant load character in game (critical error)

I have had this happen only once but thats when I had the geodata installed once i turned it off it was back to normal.. If you have geodata on I would try removing it

Re: cant load character in game (critical error)

In most cases its caused by custom gatekeepers where some teleport spots are fcked up. But
disable geodata is not a solution. Even with no geodata it happens a lot of times. Better solution
is to keep your geodata up-to-date. There are a lot of fixes from time to time!

okay i turned off the geodata and i patched my client again an everything should work now, but u still get that error!
i do not have any custom items or gatekeeper!

doesnt somebody have any clue?

a friend of mine said its because of wrong java files, but i installed the new l2jfree datapack and the problem still exists!

cant somebody solve this riddle?

please help me

serverside:
IOError: Eine vorhandene Verbindung wurde vom Remotehost geschlossen
eng: IOError: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

If your able to log in with your other chars then it has to be a location error you didn't say if you tried this yet but go into the sql database and manually change your charaters location in the charater table to a known working location.

oh man,
i start to hate l2jfree...

i did not have such errors with l2jserver/l2jdp ...

sometimes the critical error disappears and the char is in giran, although it was somewhere else before -.- weird
if you try often enaugh to login with that char, it works like 1:10...

i transferred a char with critical to a location where a char was without critical, but the critical is still there

and the critical is only character related, not account related
