I can NOT go past the server select (screen right after the login) if i do the following:
  • use my wan IP in the configs, and use my wan IP to connect to the game using the same PC the server is on.
  • use my wan IP in the configs, and use my wan IP to connect to the game using another PC.
  • Use my LAN IP in the configs, and LAN IP to connect with the same PC the server is on.
  • Use my LAN IP in the configs, and LAN IP to connect with another PC on the same network.
  • Use localhost (127.0.0.1) in the configs and use another PC to connect using either WAN IP, LAN IP or hostname (with no-ip.org).
Note: It DOES connect, i can log in with my account info fine. but it does NOT go past the server selection screen, it crashes and opens up a Chinese website in internet explorer when i do.

I CAN connect and play perfectly if i do the following:
  • use localhost (127.0.0.1) in the configs, and localhost (127.0.0.1) to connect while of course running the game on the same PC as the server.
I follow this guide:
http://forum.ragezone.com/f268/guide-full-guide-au-v1-7-download-links-9-11-parts-235308/

And used the files provided in that guide (server files + client).

Did i miss something? I think it would have something to do with my router, i have opened the following ports: 25510, 25511, 25520 (which btw are NOT mentioned in the guides i read, whats up with that? a friend of mine had to find the ports). But maybe there are more? theres 5 files to run the server, and i opened 3 ports.

And of course, I don't want to play by myself, so this is a big problem D:

Re: Seems to be a problem with the IP

Let the ports stay at the default values given. Did you hex the client properly while playing with the WAN IP. If you able to connect with the local IP but not with the LAN IP - you definitely made some mistake patching up the client properly.

Try doing that once more and if that does not occur - try it out with a different client. Changing the port will not help if you ask me.

P.S: Also verify if your client and the server of the same version.

I think you misunderstood the ports part, I am behind a router, and i have forwarded those ports on the router to allow people to connect to the server. Those ports are the default ports the game uses, found with TCPView. As no ports were mentioned in the guides, i'm wondering if there are more ports than those 3 needed to be forwarded on my router to enable others to connect.

I'll try the hexing part again, although the guide i followed does not tell us what to do in that area, and your guide in the stickied topic is not for the same version (1.6 and i am on 1.7), so ill try to use your guides information and apply it to the 1.7.

edit: the client and server version match, "01.02.13.cn".

The hexing of the client remains the same for all versions. Hexing has nothing to do with server versions. You can follow that guide too. Shouldnt cause a problem.

Well i posted in the stickied topic almost 48 hours ago and didn't get a reply:

Also, if we use a launcher where you enter the IP in before you actually load in the game theres no need for hexing anyways right? (or so i understand from other posts). I do use one, so i don't think hexing is the problem here, and if it is, I got a problem with it that i posted in the stickied topic.

Any other causes for such a problem?

Thats a strange problem tbh. It should have worked. Did you recheck your server config again?? Maybe you mistyped an IP in the login issues.

This is your thinks, you want to build a complete Server and Client Audition Game through WAN IP, right?
first you must read this topic to know how to config to play on LAN, after that you can know how to config on WAN,but i dont warranty that will be successful

If you dont have any tools to support this game, it was impossible to build a system like you said, you will have these tools if you bought license from 9you

Hosting on LAN and WAN would the same thing. Just change your LAN IP to WAN IP. Thats all. Dont mislead the guy.

Okay Since I didn't make the files you have and this server was ment to be offline I'm still trying to see what ports must be forworded so people can play I also didn't own a router when i made the guide so I went and bought one set it up and what i really need is someone who has the game downloaded so i can test out the server because most things work just fine when i'm alone on the server
