Could someone please explain to me how to change the server name? I tried converting the custom name of the server into Hex but that didn't work. If anyone could tell me it would be much appreciated.

Replace your hexid.txt for a new hexid.txt file.If what you want is to create a Custom ServerName edit ServerName.xml.

I edited ServerName.xml and added in a id and the name i wanted. I even tried editing a pre-made server name and when i chose it it didn't change.

And also when i run my server in the CMD it shows the correct name i chose but when i connect through my client it doesn't show the correct name.

Server name is controled by the client, not the server.
You need to patch your client and edit "servername-e.dat"
