[Help] Texture altering guide. L2O

Hello everyone...I would like to know how to edit armorgrp.dat and the systexture files so that I can change the way some armor looks to my liking...for example: I play on a server where there is a custom armor named platinum armor..and I dont like the way it looks..how can I change it's textures to another armor?like epic armor..imagine I already have the texture pack but I wanna apply it to files of the server I'm playing on.

I've found somewhat a way to do this.. but when I try to put the new texture in the utx the L2tools always gives me errors...also I tried changing the armorgrp.dat and change the destination for that armor and gave my own..but when I start the game it says "files are corrupt please update"

PS: I will start an experimental server of my own to test these things from now on..cuz I dont know if it's the servers fault or my files'.

If you want to add custom armors and so on use l2j files not l2off.
