[Help] What mashine I should buy? L2O

Hello,

I decided to start Lineage 2 off server. I'm not a programmer or player of Lineage 2. I'm thinking at it as business invest.

I will use this computer:

3.00 Ghz Intel Pentium 4
8192 DDR2 533 mhz
SATA 250 Gb Gb 7200 rpm
SATA 160 Gb 7200 rpm
10/100 Mbs

The thing is I'm wiling to buy another computer. At first I thought about Pentium Duo Core. Now after more research I'm a little bit confused. Witch is better Athlon64 or Pentium Duo Core? Please specify your configuration of two or three computers witch is looking best for you (the one witch is written down has to be included). Argument it.

Also I'm looking for people who has lots of time and looking forward in this project development. Of course I'm not willing to read little kids responds about how much they know about l2j or dreaming to be GM or event organizer. So my offer would be I provide you with hardware you provide me with knowledge and we will share the profit. If you engaged you can write me by email letter snyperlt eta yahoo dot com. i think you shuld buy a Dual Core Xeon to start the minimum config. for l2off is it, you'll get more performance if you use it, it's better than a simple PT4 or AMD Athlon 64x2, because Xeon was designed to run in servers and PT4 and Athlon just home, thx.

Then I will buy Dual Core Xeon. Can you be more specifically what system I should buy. The computer should be able to operate at least 2000 people. Can I use computer I have for something else then web site?

If I buy this one:

IBM 1 x Quad-Core Xeon X5355 / 2.66 GHz / 8 MB
RAM 16 GB
2 x 320 Gb Raid

Can it hold 2000 people ? Or I need more ? If yes please write. With arguments.

if u wanna 2000 peoples i think u suld buy an 15K rpm HD, but, Quad core xeon and 16 GB DDR its ok, for more instability if u have money i recomend:
2x Quad Core Xeon 2.4+ GHZ/ 8MB cache L2/ X5300+
16 GB DDR2
2x 147 HD 15K RPM
Raid 1
Windows 2003 Enterprise/Datacenter edition x64
1000/2000 mb up/donw link

if u wanna 2000 peoples i think u suld buy an 15K rpm HD, but, Quad core xeon and 16 GB DDR its ok, for more instability if u have money i recomend:

Well if I buy first 1 Quad Core then another is it makes any difference ? (Because in the start I don't expect lots of people.)

Server itself is cheap connection is a *****... I will start looking for the best deal then. It shouldn't take more then a month. Maybe I will be up and running until 2009.

a quad is ok. if in the future you have a big community then host your server from 2 pc i think you know how

yeah! to start in l2off quad core xeon is very good...because it's have a good performance, thx.
