I have a HP Pavilion xt948 PC
Its 8 years old
Its pretty old and i want a new one but my dad wont get me one.
I was wondering if their is a virus that will totally kill my computer so it will not start up. Or if someone gets it to start up it will freeze and not let anyone do anything.

I would like a virus because,
If i open my computer or somethin My dad will see me and know im trying to kill it. But he wont see me download a virus :)

Or if I can get into the mother board and Hard Drive and delete important Data Files the the Boot files that would work to :)

I went into set up and i was able to give it a boot failure. But it says at the bottom "PRESS F1 TO ENTER SET UP" and my dad would figure out that i disabled everything.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

If you have an email virus i will give you my email.

Dont bother tryin to keylogg me or anything like that. You wont find any credit card numbers or anything. THis is my person comp. I only use it for gaming :)

Your 19 and you need your dad to buy you a new computer? Go get a job? O.O

Is this legal, umm if it is... I can give you a copy of my virus vault... (oh god! do get banned for this? I hope not IS THIS LEGAL)

why don't you search google?

Screwdriver through your CPU oughta do it :wink2:. But on a serious note, get a job?. Cause is it really worth the risk?.

See it like this; I as a parent would laugh my ass of if you intentionally destroyed your PC JUST to find out if your dad will buy you a new one. Cause what if he wont?. Are you going to play your habbotard game at the library or what?.

Also, if you really are 19 years old, you should be old enough to understand if your dad have financial problems or whatever. Your only solution is to get a damn job. It's not hard.

Also, isn't a virus "melting" your motherboard a little overkill?. Are there even those kinds?.. Oo

Well maybe he's in college, are you in college?

If you really need a new PC why not do what NoPeace said (although it may make your motherboard be beyond recovery)That will utterly destroy your PC though so you up for it? You can also try to get a hacker or do something logmein.com and let him play with your PC? (tell him to try and fry that PC afterwards.)

OHH AHA! an epiphany:
the mother board is has a + or - charge in different parts of the mother board, why don't you zap your motherboard with all the components still attached and see (I guess if you're successful, we won't be seeing ya around for a while so good luck and be online soon). Umm if you're dad's away and theres like a power outage just change the voltage of your pc from if eve 110 to 220 (and remember if you have a power regulator, don't plug your pc there plug it direct at the wall!), and watch until power comes back and turn it on after a few seconds tzzzzzt!(dead!, this is what I used to fry my psone)

BIOS thing is making me laugh my ass off....

Hey guys, I think he only plays Habbo because its the only game his computer can handle com'on its 8years old. I really think he needs a new one. You won't be able to play world of warcraft or lineage or anything like that.

OK IN REFERENCE ABOVE his PC ain't so bad but yeah its old check the specs here:

That will only burn hes psu, because of protection in PSU's Power Circuits for Power Outlets.

But +0.5-0.8v extra voltage to CPU = dead cpu in most cases with air cooling since temperatures will rise and i bet your cpu cant handle that much overvoltage and then also that 0.5+ extra voltage to mobo chipset is fast kill for it, at least what i have experienced with nForce 4 AMD and nForce 680i SLI montherboards with AMD and Intel CPU :).

After that you could reset CMOS and Bios and no one would never know you blew your computer up that way.

Also that BIOS thing would do work too addition to other mentoned things.

But think again burning your good pc, and maybe you should get job if your still 19 yo.

Guys, I already took care of it..
;)

He said if he doesn't get a new computer, then he could get on his moms laptop..

So I did what I had to do, And his dad shouldn't be able to get it to boot or anything..

xD

Anyway topic shud probably be closed before more spam..

LoL good plan and what if dad decides you need to get a job and buy your own then you have no PC. McDonalds is always hiring
