how about used vmware on windows...

I would not recommend doing so for a production environment. It's okay to use a VM (VMware) for a test/build machine locally, but I would never run a production server within a VM. Worst case scenario I could envision would be instabilities, lightest case scenario you'd be wasting some of your system resources that could be much better allocated to the daemons that you're running...
