Like fox said, what do u want to edit over there? Use hex editor to open engine.exe, but dont think that u can do something whit engine.exe whitout letting the game crash

i need this because i have change the .pk password and now you need do change the pw in engine.exe that the game can open it i think

Yes, there are tutorials, and there are threads that show u what u possebly will get. or at least, i saw 1 today. only weird figures, so if i were u, i wouldn't start on it
