How does it feel to ditch social media and close your account?

Such a good feeling since Instagram, Snapchat blah blah blah are like heroin

I'm taking a break some social media right now, in particular instagram. I feel like the algorithm for shorts and reels are very good at knowing what you're interested in and I found myself using my phone maybe about 2hours a day. Since I've stopped I feel a lot better mentally. Now I don't pay attention to trending nonsense or things that the algorithm purposely shows to trigger you(race, religion, OF girls, controversional opinions etc.. etc..). Instead I'm trying to read books and do other hobbies that are more meaningful with the time gained back.

Yes. Social Media is not even my thing. I love the freedom of being gone from MySpace, Twitter etc etc

Can't because of the various work I am involved in. I do however just use it from a business perspective instead of personal.

Learning to ignore the rat race of life isn't a social media problem. It comes with age (growing up).

From a personal perspective, there are people I do like to stay in contact with that if they weren't on social media I would rarely have chances to interact with them.

Like everything else in life, it depends on your perspective and what you are expecting out of it.
