Must be cheap cable then. I have plenty of friends who have downloads around 1.5MB per second., Uploads much higher then 128KBps too. Once OOL finally services my block, I'll be close to that range too. Definetly over 1MBps downloads.
I'm surprised you dont have speeds that high either, since all of them who have the high cable speeds are in Canada as well.
You are such a noob... ALL INTERNET CONNECTIONS ARE MEASURED IN BITS...
1.5 mega
bits per second would be about 200KB/s in actual speed... I always get around 400KB/s because my connection is 3.0 mega
bits per second. If you're getting 1.5MB/s, then you probably have a freaking 10mbps (DS2/T2) connection which, guess what, isn't exactly affordable by the average household.
Now, lets look at a few examples just incase you're not following me...

Now, here it says the connection is 3.0 mega
bits per second downstream and 384 kilo
bits per second.

Once again, the unit used is
BITS and not
BYTES.

Well what do you know? Again, they use
BITS to describe their product and guess what? Its 3.0 mega
bits per second!! Who would've thought that DSL would use such "slow" speeds?
Hm... I guess you didn't take my advice, did you? And once again, you got your ass handed to you... ggthnx
