Plug your Ethernet Cable directly to your Modem, not Router.
then you no need to Port Forward.

on your computer
click start then find and click Run

type: cmd > then enter

in command prompt "
type: ipconfig then find your default gateway address: mine is 192.168.0.1

then open your beloved browser . mine is google chrome
in url type: your default gateway address mine is 192.168.0.1

then enter accounts: mine is default username:admin pass:admin (linksys) tplink-username=admin pass=password netgear:username=admin password=password buffalo username=admin pass=1234 or password or admin try any of them
or if someone is setting up your router you can easily reset your router, look at the back of your router inline with WAN PORTS use paper clip to press button 10 - 20 secs or until you see the power indicator is blinking

configure your port forward just look over the nav of router gui

If you want to know how to port port forward using buffalo! just 1st you may know your Lan IP!

RUN > CMD > IP CONFIG/ALL

NOW IF YOU ALREADY KNOW YOU LAN IP

GO TO YOUR AIRSTATION SETTINGS. MINE IS [ ] THEN LOG IN WITH YOUR DESIRE USER AND PASSWORD

I THINK DEFAULT USER AND PASSWORD IS ROOT = 1234 CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG

IF YOU ALREADY YOUR AIRSTATION

GO TO LAN CONFIG > PORT FORWARDING MAKE A GROUP NAME OF YOU CFG PORT

THEN CHOOSE TCP / UDP > THEN PUT YOUR PORT THAT YOU WANT TO FORWARD

LAN SIDE IP ADDRESS IS YOUR LAN IP

AFTER THAT ON LAN SIDE PORT > PUT SAME PORT THAT YOU WANT TO FORWARD.

PRESS ADD.

AFTER THAT YOUR DONE.

IF YOU WANT TO PUT OTHER PORTS GO BACK TO THE GROUP NAME AGAIN
THEN FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION AGAIN..
