When installing the Blade and Soul Server Files and you want to use a updated MSSQL Server you have to adapt the native client commands to the compatibility of the server files themselves.

You will be able to use the Server Files and STBackend that came with the Blade and Soul Leaked Server Daemons with any version of MSSQL. Just be sure to make sure all your settings are correct and that proper ports are exposed for maximum compatibility.
