I am looking to buy

I am looking to buy a server tower for my home.

Could some one give me a list of Parts i should buy, and links to them? i have been searching for a while and am quite well... i can't decide which parts to buy.

So i thought, ask people with more knowledge about computer parts.

I want a bang for buck build if that is alright.
your recommended choice of case
hard disc 500gb/+
Ram 8GB/+
4 cores
your choice of cooling system.
not sure which software, up for recomendations.

Any other nice pretty things.

Im looking for pretty much low-medium end range, but i will upgrade parts as time goes on.

what kind of performance are you expecting? Low end?

give a list of desired features such as :
- How Many GB Ram are +/- needed?
- How much Disk Space
- Single, Dual, Quad Socket Motherboard
etc...

Assuming you only need a file server (what most people make these threads for), low-end specs will be fine.

If it's just a file server, a Celeron with 256MB of RAM and 4x1TB HDD's is all he needs. Hell, that's all you need for hosting a website too (minus all those HDD's). Hence why i asked what it was being used for... Cos it actually matters
