witch one should i use?

freddy .. im in the process of setting up same ..
but correct me if i'm wrong .. if you're using a router / firewall ... wouldn't you create a virtual server in the router setup software to get the currently assigned dhcp public address over to the internal IP 192.168.xxx.xxx to forward client access to RM Server?

I've scoured all the postings and it still kinda fuzzy to me ... was wondering if you have same setup or if anyone has had this kinda of success.

If you change the Server internal IP address then those behind the router over say the local lan will not be able to connect to it ...

So what I'm looking for is a config that will enable LAN play with an occasional friend to pop in over the net from a public standpoint .l..

Any suggestions, ideas, or confirmations, greatly appreciated ... 8*)

Nope, use the internal (192.168.1.100), but you will not be able to host a server for people to play on.

If you do want to, you can use port forwarding and in that case use the 24.150.XXX.XX IP.

Yes, like vertex said, you will need to port forward to make people play. That means you use your external ip address but you unblock ports that Redmoon uses, unless you want to host it in your LAN.
