• Unfortunately, we have experienced significant hard drive damage that requires urgent maintenance and rebuilding. The forum will be a state of read only until we install our new drives and rebuild all the configurations needed. Please follow our Facebook page for updates, we will be back up shortly! (The forum could go offline at any given time due to the nature of the failed drives whilst awaiting the upgrades.) When you see an Incapsula error, you know we are in the process of migration.

IF my friend got these would it work?

What CPU ?

If he's not going to overclock the h80 is a waste of money. If he does get the h80, drop the E2 Gold termal paste. The paste that's pre-applied on the h80 is superb.

But yeah it will fit.

If he's going to get the non-K version of the 2500 he shouldn't bother with the H80 really. Stock cooler is more then fine. If he wants something that looks cool just tell him to get an aftermarket cooler for like 40 bucks.

He should invest the 140 bucks in a better videocard instead of the H80. Could go with a GTX560Ti for like 260 bucks and then spend the other 40 bucks on an aftermarket cooler.

That'll serve him much better.

If you want to check if they are compatible together try building the PC here:
