Im thinking of...

For what reasons? Just cos you like certain aspects of a religion does not mean you have to join it - just adopt those things into your everyday life.
i actually barely know anything about it. i just need a big fucking change in my life and this seems to be something that would be good for me.
weed i think.. amirite?

yes

Are you planning on going into one of those monasteries ?

Are you planning on going into one of those monasteries ?
its a possibility, i mean. why not?
Will it change who you are?
Religion is just belief. That can happen without even adopting some relgiion.

Reglion does not define you. You define religion.
What you do and how you are makes your religion up.
hell no.
i completely agree with you. but joining the buddhist faith doesnt mean im going to stop using my medicine. and does not mean i want to change me. besides, i think a monastery would be fun :P

Yes i agree, a monastery would be fun.

Not really no. But if my current lifestyle would not suit me, and i would rather enjoy a life of peace and serenity then yes, i would seriously consider the option.

it seems your just doing it for the sake of change. If you like the religion, or at least some of it's ideas, try adopting them first. That's a change. Going through with the whole thing just for the sake of it is insulting to those who truly and fully beleive. I've adopted quite a few buddhist principles in my life, but i'm not buddhist.

I think so.. I knew a guy called paquitin that was buddhist and ate alot and said it was because of his religion.
