ok i spent 5 hrs on this bug i found the real srouce this bug can be preformed on all server. just it skips a step on mine.

here go

step 1 = die any way u think
step 2 = while ur in ghost form relog
when u come back the "curse" aka ghost spell is gone. best way to see this is look next to ur mini map for the ghost icon

and if u sit there long enough in the bugged ghost itll start causing dcs.

my opinion on this. is that when u log out itll remove all curses.

thats teh full bug and its very simple to pull. if u dont belive pm me ur server info and ill show u on ur server. also this can crash a server or make everyone dc.


also i had 5 ppl try this bug else where. and they did it

the way it happens on my server im still offed about. cuz when i use 127.0.0.1 is does what i listed up there. when i use 24.113.83.200 it just auto dcs u when u die and prefroms this bug auto

also this minor can be explioted into a major one fairly ez now cuz i released how to do it. so if u dont patch it ull have ppl dcing ur servers. so its in ur hands now. i did my work.

I am running the latest version of mangos with latest SDB on xp Home right now. I can't seem to get any death bug to happen. I'll keep trying though and report back if I find anything.

I've explained to you before..
You are having issues noboday else is having, and that it's todo with your server setup.

Stop posting and saying that this has a bug and this has abug, when clearly it's only you..

I sugguest you go and learn up on how servers work, there are plenty of guides out there, you are really starting to anoy people by posting about these bugs and expecting everyone to give you a quick fix for them, when quite frankly your not even willing to help youself.

Go and read the many many guides out there, find answers for youself.
Myself and other people on these forums don't mind helping people, but we do expect you or them to at least try and look into it themselves..

I love the way people can moan about minor issues (Such as a Death Bug) in an otherwise excellent community project (Such as MaNGOS). I would LOVE to see Resinate try make or edit a working/stable/whatever MaNGOS or Ludmilla/Kobold release. If so, we got a lot to thank you for Resinate, if not... Stop moaning, okay?


With all that said, I would like to congratulate the dev teams at Ludmilla/Kobold and MaNGOS Keep up the awesome work. Also, just would like to say me and my mates have a blast on these!

I recommend you reinstall your database, ensure you are saving properly and ensure that you are closing your server down properly. You may have a corruption in your DB, so redo your setup.

You might uninstall your software too just to make sure. That means MySQL and perhaps the entire release. Also, you may have a confliction if you have moved from an older revision and carried the character/account tables to your new DB. As the revisions change and new things occur there are changes in the DB, so you need to import and modify tables and data placement according to the new upgrade.

These are just things to check, I don't proclaim to know how to fix your issue because I have never had it myself. Good Luck.

Just to let you guys know i ve seens this issue before, you die, you disconnect and your no longer a ghost but your grave is still apparent. You can even see that ghost healer sometimes. About the dcc error no clue never checked further down the road. Just Closed server and restarted and issue was gone. Didn t bother much about it, but it happens tho on the latest builds.
