is this fast for today's internet websites with video clips??

It's an okay connection. About average in the DSL market. Just perfect for those of us who live in America.
Sadly, the average down speed for countries such as Japan and Sweden, for residential (lower income home user) is closer to 70 mb/s.

Personally, I'm having a 16mb/2mb (down/up/per-second) deal installed from Charter this Thursday or Friday.

also get 350kb up.
tbh i think its not bad for a UK suburb area, personally. But other people may say different.

I have 1 meg connection, but maxium I could have is 18 meg at the moment. But I dont need it , I just ordered 4 meg + internet tv... Hope this will be ok.

Think yourself lucky, I live 4km away from the exchange according to BT testing equipment. I get 120KB/s

Tbh like 1mbit/s are enough for pretty much anything but sending big files. I had a 8/1 line for years but now that I have 24/3 I can't live without it.. Pirate ftw ^^
