Ipod Skin software?

dudes, i was wondering, is it possible to change the skin of ur ipod, i don't mean the look outside, i mean the program itself, the software. Is it possible to change the background (gray/white to like green and the scrollbar to another color and stuff? or isn't it possible

Yes, you can change your iPods firmware to iPod Linux (surprise surprise) or RockBox (my favorite). Their are other methods, and I know you can edit the colors on the original firmware, but 3rd party replacements have such better features.

this software is safe, i mean can it harm ur ipod by downloading wrong **** or doing something wrong

3rd part = RockBox, iPod Linux and the such.
At worst you can corrupt your loaded Firmware of choice and need to format and restore your iPod, but I've had RockBox on my iPod Nano for a while and never had issues yet.

rockbox what features does it have + when you use such a software, everything works safe as before or do you get like advertisme or a banner from the software or more sh*t

It works just like the default iPod Firmware, but has more options and features like games, calculator, currency converter, player counter for songs, albums, artists, etc, and lots of other applets. And no there isn't any time of advertising.
