Is it possible?

Hi (-;

My friends and I often play WOW (with MANGOS) on LAN whenever we get the chance,
but we would really like to play solo as well (To improve our characters)

What I actually want to know is:

Is it possible to transfer character(s) from one MANGOS database to another (if it is exactly the same database version)? That way we could all copy our characters to the server's database when we start
playing on LAN and back to our own database when we are done.

Does anyone know if this is possible and if it is, what should I do?

Yes, ofc it is possible. Just use MDH (MangOS Database Handler) to backup the characters, then import them into the other databases.

Thanks Yamachi!

I've searched the Internet for a release that supports SDB 6.0
but was unable to find one.

Where can I find the latest release. I've been to
[SIZE=-1]www.bluesailor.net/MDH but
the latest release (243) on the website does not seem to like my database.

Regards,

First of all 247 is the latest stable release.
Secondly, yea , MDH hasnt worked for me in about a month. I even re DL'd and reinstalled 3 different times.
I get fatal exception errors on startup. When i do get it to startup and try to execute a .sql file instead of an [OK] window showing how many queries were executed i just get a blank window popup. [And it doesnt work] lol
Hopefully MDH will work again as it used to. It IS the best database handler for mangos when it works properly.

Thanx frosty901

In the meantime I'll try to manually transfer a character to another database.
(Did some database programming last year - maybe I'll be successful)
