Item_db.txt problem

Well I'm making a server and I don't know why the changes I make on my item_db do not reflect on my server. For example I change a muffler to give +100 to all stats and it just doesn't give any bonus. Any help is appreciated.

Okay.. well here's a quick checklist to go through.

Does your mapserver spit back any errors?
Are you sure your stats aren't increasing after you changed the item_db? Make sure the item is written properly.
Are you sure you're wearing the right item? Try taking it off then putting it back on.
