Just some insight, If anybody knows who he is, apologies.

His story, is a story to follow.

Fighting under the name James J. Braddock (ostensibly to follow the pattern set by two prior champions, James J. Corbett and James J. Jeffries), his amazing comeback from a floundering career (that saw him lose several bouts before struggling to support his family by working on the docks during the Great Depression) earned him the nickname The Cinderella Man from Damon Runyon. (Taken from Wikipedia)

The Movie , Cindarella Story - captures the sitatuion perfectly.

James J Braddock, struggled in life - with little or no hope. He stuck it out. An Ignorant champion Max Beur gave Braddock a title shot, thinking it would be some free cash. James J Braddock caused the biggest upset in Boxing History - on June 13, 1935 James J Braddock captured the World Heavyweight Title. He went into the fight with a deficit of 10-1 Odds. He is the Cindarella Man.

James Braddock went on to lose his title to Joe Louis. Joe Louis says "I've never fought anyone with more courage then James Braddock".

One man's extraordinary fight to save the family he loved
