Kobold or Mangos?

Which one of them are the best for WoW Client 2.01 ?


I suggest you should use Kobold V3, since that works.


And since no Mangos DB.... All of them are just to small, around 45MB - 450MB...

To small eh?

And I don't know where to find a FULLY Mangos DB. So I suggest to everybody who don't got a DB that works fully on Mangos, use Kobold V3.

I agree many mangos compiles that were suppost to support 2.0.1(xxxx) clients didn't work. Sometimes the db's assosiated with these files weren't actually compatible.

Kobold V3 works with out having to hunt down the right files with the right db.

Well for me it would have to be mangos, as I like to work with my server, getting stuff to work and fixing what I can, as I enjoy doing that.

As for Kobold, it's easy to setup and use, and less hassle.
But once mangos is ready, it will blow kobold out of the water

As for such small sdb's, this means nothing as it would depend on how the person made the sql dump. All the mangos databases might be small, but the world is fully populated, and nothing is wrong with it.

Yeah, when Mangos is full, and Kobold is full, I think nobody will use Kobold anymore, but the fact, Kobold is ALOT better now

Too bad it will never be ready; there is too much discussion and too little progress. Also,the base of design is bad for Mangos, too late to ever change that. They should have watched a bit better when starting the project on how other emulators handled things.

So Kobold will lead as long as the project is alive, let's hope it never dies.
