There are some versions of Opensim for Linux out there. Thats more or less a private Second Life region. Also they form own Grids atm for that.

dofus ancestra can be used , just figured this out today using this command line
java -jar -Xmx1500m -Xms1500m -Xmn500m Ancestra.jar in terminal

except i get this error which im trying to resolve

IOException: Permission denied
Arret du serveur demandé ...
Sauvegarde des personnages...
Sauvegarde des guildes...
Sauvegarde des percepteurs...
Sauvegarde des maisons...
Sauvegarde effectuee !
Arret du serveur: OK
En attente de connexions
IOException: Socket is closed
Arret du serveur demandé ...
Arret du serveur: OK

SOLVED

needs to be

- sudo java -jar Ancestra.jar
- sudo java -jar -Xmx1000m -Xms1000m Ancestra.jar
and port 444 rather den 443

you also might have to give priledge to the Ancestra.jar and folder
sudo su
chmod -R 0777 /location/folder/is/located

since this works this would also mean that there's a possibility that any maple story emualtors could be run threw a sudo java -jar as well.

the only problem now i dont know how to correctly shut it down, so the server keeps running even if the terminal isn't opened lmao
if anyone knows lemme know

They run on redhat9 I will find the post about it and edit this one to link the original thread.

The difference is VMWare is a pain in the butt to get Darkeden to allow outside connections as to where redhat is much easier.
