If that's directed to killer2003, I'm pretty sure he knows nothing you don't

You cannot just update the server to 3.9, I think JCE just sends out a totally new server package and a small script to adjust the DB to 3.9. And even if there were a "3.8 to 3.9 server patch" it's not like it would be available for download on the JCE website lol
