Me @ At Zanarkand

Very nice, sounds almost perfect though some parts sounded off scale, probably just me though. That was the first song I played fully, still love it now =P

Hoping to hear some more soon.

P.S. if you want that buzzing noise, and pop sounds taken out I can do that for ya.
you would get 10000 cool points if you did

anyways, here's another thing i just recorded. again.. struggling with buzz in the background. the filters i have really take the quality out of the original recording.

Kaoii - Melodies of Life - Remastered by DaCheat

again, in reality its a pretty sloppy recording. i don't see the point in actually trying to make it perfect until i get the buzzes and pops out..

Makes me want to get a piano or a better keyboard, as my current keyboard sucks :P To Zanarkand loses its beauty on a $300 keyboard, and its the only thing I can play aside from Aerith's theme from FFVII :(.

Well start recording then, you'll be surprised what I can do. ;)

I'm almost finished with the first song, but there are 4 or 5 pops that are giving me trouble. It's about 1am here, so I'll have to finish it tomorrow.

But I am finished with your second song. I think you'll be very pleased with my final result.

Melodies of Life

P.S. The reason you're getting the popping sounds is because your mic is too close. Move it back a foot or two, and that "should" fix that problem.

i'm not using a mic. my Fantom X is plugged directly into the pc via the sound card. i think the problem is my cable, so i'm about to order this one:

Buy Monster Cable SP1000 Instrument Cable Straight-Angled at Musician's Friend

I hate using filters because anytime I do it makes my keyboard sound like a cracker box keyboard, when really this is what I'm playing on:

Roland U.S. - Fantom-X8: Workstation Keyboard

.. so I'm hoping that the cable will fix my problem.

Well from my experiences changing a cable wont fix your problem. The popping is from something being peaked, which is most likely the sound card. It could be the cable, but that'd have to be a very low grade cable to cause buzzing and popping like that.
