I'm Matt and I live in Australia. Yes we take kangaroos to work, but only when the koalas aren't working. They're more efficient as you can strap them together and put a chair on top and it's basically a chariot.

Now that we got that out of the way, I'm 27 and work as a teacher of Web Development and Design. I've had a number of accounts in RZ over the years, starting back in, uhh... 2004 or 2005 probably, back when MU only had 0.97d releases that barely worked. I also had dial-up because Australia has a shitty copper internet network, :(. Anyway this is my account since I decided to join the community more actively and support everyone and I've been active since October 2014.

I thought I'd apply while the section is young as the only moderator is our glorious Supervisor Shoelace and they have a tonne on their plate already, :). If we're not opening slots yet, no harm done, just know I'm happy to help out.

Experience:

I used to adminstrate an RPing forum back in 2005-2008 and have been a moderator for several Freelancer servers (speaking of Freelancer, anyone from TLR/Starport/The Void here?). I've modded games for around 10 years now but less so these days, starting with Morrowind (glorious times) and Freelancer (also glorious times that I wish were still with us), stretching into more recent games such as Skyrim and Space Engineers, mostly in the environmental and level design areas as I'm predominantly from a design background.

That said, I'm a web-based games developer on the side, so I understand some of the process that goes into making games (game-play theories and environment/level design mostly) and have dabbled a decent amount with Construct2 over the years. With my past moderation experience coupled with how I'll be assisting C9's growth, I'd like to further contribute by trying my best to keep the section clean and structured.

My releases:

I mostly make web releases, but here's a full list of my releases... I think.

C9 CMS - Flame Theme
My Aion Theme (1500+ views)
English-translated Aion CMS (8500+ views)
MU Lorencia Object List(1300+ views)
EVEMU compile (13000+ views)

Why I release stuff?

I love helping people, hence why I'm a web teacher, haha. Besides helping people, I like coding in my spare time to keep in touch with the industry I teach, so if I can help the C9 community grow with lots of website themes and maybe an actual CMS for free, why not? I don't like doing these things for money, what I do is nothing special and anyone is capable if they learn, I just do my part to help out the community so our C9 section can grow into something great. Hence why I thought I'd apply for a moderator slot.

Any last words?

Last words? Why must I die for this application? Can I not live to be a moderator? I mean, I'm active enough without being undead and able to sit here 24/7, no? No? Well if I can live and be a moderator, I guess I can thank you for reading this possibly last post before I get slaughtered and fed to the forum.

Oh, and I suppose it's healthy to explain my weaknesses too. I've had one private warning point here - which I got on my birthday... :( - but I don't remember what it was for as it expired long ago. That said, with section rules under my belt I'm a hardline moderator, I enforce rules to the letter and am a fan of orderly conduct and cleanliness, so that's what I'll do my best to do while I'm logged in.

I'm online on and off throughout the day at work and in the evening (GMT+10).

Kind regards,
Matt (fallenfate)

I don't see why not. You're active in the section , you're mature and you have good personality. You're friendly with users and you have helped me out alot in the Portfolio section. You're now currently actively helping and contributing to the c9 section and I have not seen any actions or traits from you in that section that has provoked anything with any users.

Overall , I believed that you'll be a splendid moderator and a great asset to the RaGEZONE Staff . You have my doubtless vouch.

Remember , not always. Let's take a situation where a help thread , 3 months ago has been bumped with the answer to solve the problem. However the rules say that threads more than 2 months old should not be bumped.

Don't delete it , instead , you can close the thread because it contributes to the community.

Just an advice

Oh yeah definitely, I just mean I'm strict with enforcing rules, lol, not unfairly so. If someone does something they shouldn't, warning in line with rules. It's just managing things and keeping it clean as far as I'm concerned, :). But like I said as well, if I don't get this position I'll be continuing to help the section anyway, this was just a way to formalise it so Shoelace can rest up a bit.

I've had a quick look through your profile and you're a very well respected user. You seem to know what you're doing and an important thing for when I consider vouching, your application is full of waffle, it's direct and straight to the point.

I think you'd suit the section, your active & you're well respected. Have my vouch.

+1.
