more than 1 host for a server?

sup ragezone i just have one simple question is there away that there can be more than 1 host for tha private server.. becuz me and my friend have a server but he has trouble keeping it up at night but me, i wouldnt have any problem hosting it .. so he gave me his sql login details and his computer name and everything.. and i tried to login and everything so i could also host tha server.. but no luck.. is there any way that i can be able to host tha server too?
