MS SQL 2000 Help L2O

Ok i downloaded the MS SQL 2000 Eval edition like everyone told me and i have the server files installed. now. how do i set up MS SQL on the setup to get it to run as i dont know how to get username or password or anything like that. can anyone help me here.

My reply made sense. just. man. im frustrated at MS SQL right now. ok lets try this again. i need someones help. i need to figure out from the install of MS SQL how to attain a username and password. becuz i do not kno how to do that and without that. i cannot run the server.

actually i am running into the same problem. I am trying to get a c1 server up right now and i cant get mysql to start cuz it says wrong user/pass

I had the same problem when I first tried to setup MS SQL 2000 Enterprise. Here's what I did, if there's another way, then by all means go for it.

So when you install MS SQL, it'll ask you a crapload of questions and what not. The important part was the authentification portion. Check windows/sql authentification and also check seperate logins for seperate services. When you do this, the next setup window will ask you for the SA password, at which point you can put whatever you want, for instance, l2online (as used in the setup guide).

That's how I did it after two reinstalls of the sql server. If someone else has another way of doing it, it'd be great since you wouldn't have to reinstall sql then, but yea.

Oh man, the prob i face is not SQL user account or something like that...I did everything ok till the

IMPORTANT!!!

lin2db Database -> Table -> Server (open table)

add

id = 1
name = same as the worldname in l2server.ini
ip = your WAN IP
inner_ip = your LAN IP
ageLimit = 0
pk_flag = 0 PK not allow; 1 allow
kind=0
port=7777
......

I cant see the table "server" in lin2db database. What wrong m8 ? I thought this my setting up, cuz i dont really understand

In this step i open SQL Query Analyzer, and load script from Db script as u told, Parse-Execute-and save, is it my prob ?Or my SQL version ( i heard someone tell that he used SQL developer - i used SQL 2000 Personal ) ? Sorry im really n00b.

well mate im not sure there either thats the part im on. not to mention i cant get nothing to connect to each other the NPC.exe always crashes and things like that. im stuck just as well. anyone can help us???
