hi, i took sql 2000 off and put sql 2005 on (for security reasons mainly) and i cant restore dbs =O

when i go to restore the db, it gives me

"RESTORE FAILED FOR ZENZ0RZ"

i am not sure what to change

c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\kal_auth.MDF

to... and what to change the log file to aswell

to C:\KalServer\DataBases\kal_auth ?

if so what about the log file

thanks in advance

hit rename on the kal_auth and kal_db files
and rename them to
kal_auth.bak and
kal_db.bak
then it will work

yeah...... its kinda confusing and has bits missing

in my obdc there are 4 accounts

(local)
(local)
ZENZ0RZ-RWWV8LH
ZENZ0RZ-RWWV8LH

also should the default db be master?

Zenz0rZ is my account name, ZENZ0RZ-RWWV8LH is my computer name (im presuming these 2 things are the same)

il try what you said and il post wether it worked or not in a min
