My Best Overclock E6750

How do we overclock our processors ?

Some teaching :D .

I'm afraid I might break my chip, or my system won't boot >.> .

I have a Pentium M 1.4GHz .. Please tell me what's the best I should overclock to ?

I'll install a air-conditioner inside my laptop or maybe I'll place it in the refridgerator :P .

How's that ?

Its pretty simple actually.. if you dont know where to search to find how to overclock.. you shouldnt do it. You do that, and you are going to cause permanent damage to your CPU if you do it wrong.. and that is a very costly venture. Only do it if you have the funds to back up a mistake, or you know exactly what your getting yourself into. If you think your good enough for it.. try going to Google and searching 'How to overclock a CPU' search features can be amazing ;)

Well, I have a Core 2 Quad, 2.4ghz, and I heard they overclock to 3.0 ghz no problem but, im not willing to take the risk until I save up some more money :D

Depends on the board and cooling. The normal dual core version goes 3.0-3.2 while the quad core it's harder.

Trust me running a quad at 3.0ghz is going to be hot and use a lot of power. You are dealing with about 130w of power and heat. And that's only at 2.93ghz. :1:

I have a very good water loop and my quad at 2.93ghz goes up to 70-80c under full load.

NoPeace - out

wtf... why is the voltage not listed?

Not to mention laptop or any 'brand-named' computer (Dell, HP, etc) BIOS's are usually heavily limited so it'd be pretty much impossible to overclock one. (except for those new ASUS laptops which have an overclock button on em lol)

Also that's an P4 Prescott -.- Not a C2D. They clock WAY higher and was the architecture were built to scale up to 10Ghz but they only reached 3.8 stock. So 8Ghz is still a failure even though it's damn high and it has nothing to do with this thread. And can you even guess how many watts that P4 is using at 8 Ghz?

Edit: NoPeace the people I know is running 3.6 Ghz on stock voltage (1.23 or 1.35) and 4Ghz at 1.45V. So you have a point :P
