My laptop has been off quiet a while...

Well, My laptop has been off for quiet a while - My adapter broke.
So I'm getting one maybe tomorrow or today. But I'm wondering, when I get it on.

Will all my files be gone? I heard a rumor that if your laptop is off for too long everything will be wiped.
Is it true?
I hope not, I have all my stuff on it. x-x

How long was your laptop off for?
Mine was/is off for over 2 months now. D=

It doesn't matter. The files are stored on the hard drive, not in memory, so anything you had on the hard drive won't be gone, but anything you had copied or whatever, that will be gone tongue.

Just to clarify, he is not taking about files you have copied, he means that if you had anything stored on your clipboard, that will be the only thing gone.
