Need help QUICK! [School thing]

For my school I have to make a sort of magazine with a group of other kids.
I've set a background image in Word '07, but when I print it, it looks like it crops my background image to some small size, and it just repeats that cropped image all over the printed sheet =\

I've looked in my printer settings, etc. but I just can't find it, I don't use Word too often :O
I need help with this quick because it needs to be done soon =[

try using publisher if you have it. if not, seek alternatives, print the background using other software(photoshop? paint?) then print your words over the background. word is just not designed for this kind of stuff.

But why do they have a function do add background image if it doesn't work...

You are tiling the image somehow. An option somewhere is causing it. You using Word 2007 or 2003? In 2007 there is no "wallpaper" option as far as i know, you just import a picture and make it less visible and put it behind the text and boom - it's a wallpaper.

I use Word '07, dutch version =\
I go to the second/third idk tab called 'Page-something', then something like "Filling effects" > Picture > page_2.jpg
It sets a "Background image"

I just tried that, and yes it does tile the image. Do not use that then, the "background" feature for Word '07 is for patterns ect which are able to be tiled, not actual pictures. If you want that, do a "watermark" instead and use the picture. It will be slightly faded but you can reduce it a little by unchecking the "use washout" box.

Otherwise do what i suggested earlier and just import the image but put it behind the text.
