need help with mangos and wow client version plz

hi everybody =)

i downloaded a mangos pack a few days ago and hav been trying to get it to work but hav had little success so i thought i should ask about it to see if i could get it fixed. ill try and giv all details possible to see if anybody can helkp me out =)

i just downloaded Revision 3231 + ScriptDev2 Rev. 27 + Honor 0.70 + Jail + Chat&WhisperLogs from the mangos thread and hav set it all up properly (i hope lol) with mysql server 5.0 and using sqlyog to set it all up.

i am using a router so i port forwarded all ports used, and also changed the realmdlist to 127.0.0.1.

the problem im getting is that my game version cannot be validated, which im sure is because im usign 2.0.0 but i dont want to update it incase i hav to reinstall so i thought i should ask 1st. i seen it says 1.12.1 and 1.12.2, does that mean i need that version to play on the mangos server?

i also tried to use kobolds v3 repack but it requres version 2.0.1 and i couldnt find a patch for 2.0.1 anywere, only upto 2.0.3 and 2.0.0 =(

i hope i hav gave enough information for help, if u need any more plz ask and i'll find them out =)

oh yea 1 last thing. i remember using a very old server ages ago and when i loaded my client it used to hav my server name on the 1st screen when loading wow, but it is now no longer there. am i doing somthing wrong?

Yes. you NEED 1.12.1 or 1.12.2

And the game wont say the server name untill you have logged in once. once you have logged into the server..... for then on the server name will be on the login screen.

And for 2.0.0... you wont find a server for that. but if you want to update to 2.0.6/2.0.7/2.0.8 you will find server build for thoses.

so i need to "downgrade" to 1.12.1 or 1.12.2? oh and sry i just looked on the download page again and seen:

2.0.6 and 2.0.7 w33dcore

Does this mean i can hav client 2.0.7 and still go on the mangos server?

Yes but you need to use that specific mangos version. If you look in the forum there is also a build for 2.0.8. You just gotta make sure you running that mangos build for whatever client version you want to use.

yay =D so just update to 2.0.7/2.0.8 and run mangos for 2.0.7/2.0.8 and im good to go?

woot thanks =D hey just a quick question. this w33dcore 2.0.6/2.0.7...is it just for normal wow server or is it just for tbc server? i hope its for normal wow cuz am downloading all the patches lol =S
