A few people on here posted they had some new eiserver file but were looking through it, i asked and got a reply of the Fanlove one (many thanks) and thought for some wierd reason that there was some uber new one floating about i never had that maybe added more in etc.

After looking at my files though it all become clear - my eiserver is 1.15Mb while the Fanlove one is 2.12MB - this is the fabled "Double the size" server file that people have thinking its maybe new.

Now take a look through with a hex editor - yup padded at the end to make the size bigger. Now i ripped apart best i could the fanlove one and come up with these changes they have done so far.

1. They have made the Flamering do a firebang instead of FireBall - this is easy to do on any version as you just hex the name and it does the spell.

2. They have copied the Firebang attack again and made spell 53 (DragonPunch) have that damage etc to mobs - so to make it look like its working.

3. They have donea hex to make hell ice not freeze but if you test it you will notice the mobs turns blue (as in ice) but keep moving anyhow - so they have probably copied iceball or something attack onto Hellice to fix it.

4. Still have no idea what new mob magic they claim to have working, without numbers im not going to spend a few days adding number sot database in the hope i get some magic.

So my view is this release is not worth the effort to be honest but thanks for the person who at least shared the files - cant see us moving forward on mir3 as again lack of shared files unless people actually ask for it - maybe it was getting saved for ragezone Server - who knows...

To be honest there is only so much they can do with the server we have, unless they code it or somehow get a later version i cannot expect them to progress much. Look at it anohter way - maybe we can follow the mir2 crowd and start to add on to what we have - such as new mobs, maps and quests. A few good utilities would not go a miss as as this is holding people back i think.
