Nintendo Shipping Mod-Proof Wiis in Japan

Obviously Nintendo doesnt know crap about modders.

I can guarentee it isnt mod-proof, give it half a month this time before some geek in China opens it, pulls it out, and successfully mod's it. They already know how the software works, so it wont be anythign new to crack a hardware tahts already been cracked. No matter how mod proof they make it.

The onyl successful way to modproof it would be to solder everything onto a mainboard, and cover that mainboard with an aluminum grounding cover, and if you pull the cover off, itll short a couple key components.. hence, no-modding because its fried.

Yeah that'll only be the real way to mod proof it.

Though with the current design it's very easy to install a mod chip. Only a few wires to random things and a chip right onto the DVD drive.

Only problem about modding current ones is getting a dvd drive that can burn a proper first install disk. -.-

Stupid thing that most burners cannot do DVD-ROMs.

Anyways it's only a matter of time for the next batch to get modded.

NoPeace - out

E.g. the enclosures used on secure cryptoprocessors like the IBM 4758. However, those cost considerably more than a Wii, and the cost of implementing such measures far outweighs the benefits in this case.
