Norton AntiVirus 2004

ok ladies and gents b4 i begin "puts leg up.... fart" right... my norton anti virus 2004 is takin the pissy now i swear... my auto protect is set as off i cant turn it bak on it wont work and email scanning has a msg sayin error, my liveupdate is turned off i cant turn it bak on, i tried re installing, following steps in symantec.com and googling... PLEASE ELP ME!! "puts leg up.. fart"

i would think it was some form of trojan/virus as that is what a number of them do!

its a good program that finds mostly spyware (use the immunize feature its great) but can get trojans etc as well!

thats all i can think of atm ppl should post more plz because if you rely on one scanner you gonna end up getting fucked and wondering why your ass is sore in the morning

i remember scanning my comp 5 times with diff scanners and only one found a virus the others didnt find it.... so NEVER rely on just one!

Hmmm, its the mother fucking thing that happened to me long ago. The autoprotect stays off, NO MATTER how many times you press to enable it, and stuff. Maybe its a virus or macro that is smart enough to know that the antivirus is its enemy, lol.....

Format will do the trick, but you need backup and stuff, like CDR's or DVDr's.....

Can you do a full system scan? This is needed to find out what virus it is...
